Mistletoe Kisses

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is such a cute romance.
I don't often read holiday themed romances or books for that matter, since I think they can sometimes be too cliche or... I suppose Hallmark-y is the best word for it. Nothing wrong with those things, I just usually don't like reading them.

Anyhow, with this one the holiday theme made it adorable. There was no ‘Christmas Miracle' but the holidays and decoration do play a huge part in the book. It is done with SUCH FUN that I just ate it up. Justin is a grinch... although I don't think it is ever said why he stopped liking Christmas (???), but has to play Santa which can be funny, especially when he is thinking about how to get revenge on his partner.

I did like the main characters although with this being a shorter book, I don't think they were able to be fully developed. The side characters are more mentions than anything. I still liked Justin and Lilly and their interactions are adorable.

I think a few things could have been expanded upon (characters, Justin's dislike for Christmas, what was actually being broadcasted), which is what kept this from being a 5 star. This is a cute, shorter Christmas read which isn't pushing ‘the magic of Christmas' down your throat. Justin still has panic attacks, and a holiday isn't going to stop that.

If you want something cute to read to go with the holiday season, I really recommend this one. Will I read the next one? Most likely– I'd love to read about Justin's partner O'Rourke.
