This book was a bit of disappintment after Elantris which I gave 5 stars, since a lot of people said that mistborn was better than elantris.
I knew from the the beggining of the second part that I wouldn't give this book 5 stars, because it skipped over most of the training of Vin in her Allomantic powers. We see her knowing nothing about powers to being fairly competent after the time skip. I just wanted to see her develop her powers.
I also didn't feel like everyone was close to one another. Besides the meetings where they discussed their plans and some one on one training of Vin and someone else of the crew, we didn't see Vin interacting with anyone besides Kelsier and Sazed. (and one more character that wasn't part of the crew). And supossedely by the end of the book she was close to the crew, how?
Overall I liked the plot of the book, but I felt that most of the character interactions were cut out of the book. I will problably read the next book of this trilogy, but with my expectations very much lowered. I hope Brandon Sanderson other books are more like Elantris, than The Final Empire.
