I rarely ever read book 2 of a series without reading #1, even if it is a romance where you don't need to read them in order. I did this time at the nudging of some reviews and I'm so glad I did. This is a fun book. I really liked how the hero helped her be healthy – she wants to lose weight for a man, he wants her to just be healthy. He gets her to run and eat while she's trying to skip meals. It isn't usual to see this, so I was happy that healthy eating is finally pushed.
It is also a decent slow-burn which is my jam.
I wasn't a super fan of the ending conflict stuff, but I enjoyed this book enough that I will try out book 3!
