Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

This one wasn't for me, and I would have DNF'd it, if I had not already read past the no turning back point. I really disliked Greg. In fact, he reminds me of another Greg I dislike- Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It's not too far-fetched to think this is what Greg Hefferly would be like in high school self-absorbed, deeply immature, and friendless. I think I hung in there because of Rachel, but I don't know why because we don't really get to know Rachel at all. And what is up with Earl? What!?! I wanted answers.
I'll be on a quest to ask some of my teens if they read this and see what their reactions were.
