The two most skillful Cold War agents on different sides must work together to defeat the mystic Matarese, a cabal that has infiltrated the very top levels of politics and industry in order to create chaos and destruction in the world.

A lot of the time the writing seemed a bit clumsy (I'm not sure whether Ludlum or the Finnish translator is to blame), and the book was clearly too long, but the ending was worth the effort, I guess – it sure had some dramatic action.

Fluffy summer reading, that's for sure, and certainly not the most intelligent book I've read this year...
