Making Faces

If you are going to read this one make sure you have tissues close by.

Thankfully, I was warned that this is an emotional ride, so I was prepared. Wow... there is some difficult content here. These kids are in high school during 9/11 so we get to see that go down from their perspective and see how it changes their lives and how the decisions they make afterwards affect them even more.
We see high school love and love based on more than physical attraction. There is healthy and unhealthy relationships, hardships from all different angles, and healing.

While there is a romance here, I wouldn't call this book a romance! It is more of a contemporary read and will rip your heart out. Definitely worth the read.
