The Plot holes man, the plot holes.



Ms. Denton wrote a draft and then, while writing, changed her mind. That happens but you fix it before publishing the book. For example: At first, the MC's father told her that Matthew was drunk when he did the spell on a dear. But then later in the story, it was her mother who had told her that Matthew was on a drug and did it on a dear. That change also changed how the reader saw her mother. Because that is reviled to be a lie her mother told her to isolate her from Evan.



I feel bad giving this book a 1.5-star rating because Ms. Denton can write. But as a reader, I didn't believe her story. I was constantly asking questions and was confused by the changing of facts.



If I can't get into the story and stay there... then I am done reading the book.
