Five best friends at summer camp take friendship to the max when they team up to defeat the strange forces lurking within the surrounding forest.
Excited to have Barney starting their first week at the camp, the Roanokes run over to the Zodiac cabin, only to find everyone turned to stone! Between strange shadows and Diane being back, it looks like April, Jo, Mal, Molly, and Ripley are going to have their hands full trying to find a cure for their friends . . . as long as they don’t look the wrong thing in the eye first.

Slowly unveiling family layers, lots of Greek myth, and many cute asides. This was a fun one. Hoping next one has more Barney!
Story This series continues to be a delight. I especially enjoy how they like to turn some of the standard fantastical creatures on their heads. Mainly though, I just enjoy spending time with the Janes. The themes of friendship and how good friends can double as family is something I can identify with. The camping theme never hurts either.
Artwork
The artwork has been in flux a lot since Brooke Allen left but it's always been solid. I prefer a bit more stability though. It seems like they may finally have that with Carey Pietsch. I believe she's been the main artist for the last few volumes now. Hopefully that continues.
I love the Greek mythology in this one! A Gorgon, Artemis, Athena, Hera, Zeus... gives me Percy Jackson vibes. One of my favorite volumes so far.
