It was better than the previous book but still, it wasn't at all what I hoped for. The plot was interesting but in the first 40%-50% I couldn't stand Catherine. Seriously, the way she treated Nicholas was horrible. But at the end I resented Nicholas for locking her up??? And it was done in the last part of the book so there was no time for him to grovel? And he didn't even apologize to her? Fuck that. I don't care that he cared for her safety. The man just rescued her from the asylum where she was locked against her will, only to turn around and lock her in his rooms instead. I would have divorced him for that alone. Asshole. I don't forgive him, I don't care how much he loves her.
