Long Shot

This book was not what I was expecting. This review is going to have spoilers because I feel like I need to include some trigger warnings so if you want to go into this book knowing absolutely nothing about it then skip this review. Trigger warnings include abuse and rape and probably others that I am forgetting since it has been a while since I read it. The abuse/rape is very descriptive in this. Going into this I was expecting a cute romance and while we do eventually get a cute romance in the end we have to go through all of the difficult stuff first. This one was hard to read because like I said it was very descriptive. I felt so bad for Iris but I loved how strong she became in the end. August wasn't my favorite hero but the romance between him and Iris was so cute and sexy at times even though it was kind of a case of insta love. I would definitely continue on in this series.
