In this book we get to travel to the past and get a lot of answers. We learn what happened in the past which in turn helps us understand what is going on in the present. I enjoyed this book but I feel like this is just an info dump kind of book. Like not much happened in the present day which was disappointing after the way things ended in the previous book. I did still really enjoy this though and I am looking forward to reading the final book.
We finish up Volume 4 with the Locke family thinking they've rid themselves of the evil Lucas Caravaggio but we know the demon spirit is inhabiting Bode! And now he's got the Omega key. It's all kinds of bad so Hill gives us a chance to catch our breath. It's a deep dive into the history of the Keyhouse Estate and the “Omega” door. And we manage to get a bit more of Rendell Locke as a high schooler and the drama crew.
Story
This one is almost entirely flashbacks and we get a whole lot of answers here. Things I have been wondering for awhile finally get confirmed. And of course once again we have more keys! Some of them aren't really explained that much though.
I loved going back and spending a lot of time with Rendell Locke. But we also go way back to the revolutionary
Artwork
With all the different time periods represented here Mr. Rodriguez does an excellent job with the various styles to truly bring each alive.
I can't even describe how amazing this series is. I can't put it down! The level of character development and emotion that is conveyed from frame to frame is masterful and genius. The story unfolds through flash backs yet never enough to fully explain the story leaving so much to speculate with. I want to buy this and gift it to EVERYONE! Everyone has to read this.
Finally! Locke & Key: the Origins!!
