This is the second Sarah Dessen book I've read and I'm not stopping here.

I will admit to liking Just Listen more, but this one is also powerful and gripping. The things the teens go through is so painful and learning how to protect themselves and help others isn't easy– mistakes and regrets pop up and it is totally normal. Really, this book feels so realistic, it hurts.

This isn't romance-focused and the romance really is the weakest part, I think. I never really bought it or thought they connected, until close to the end– which also, realistic, I liked it.

The focus or message here is healing and allowing yourself to be a teen or learn who you are. Knowing that sometimes you need to take chances or just need to allow yourself to calm down and have good fun.

Yeah, I'm hooked on these books and I'm looking forward to the next one :)
