Light Up the Dark

So dark but so good. Two damaged MCs (one almost feral) who might be able to find some happiness together if people didn't keep shooting them or hitting them over the head or otherwise threatening their lives. Most of the story takes place in a big old haunted house with no electricity or heat, with constant cold rain as the backdrop. I was almost afraid to read this book at night but kept on going because I couldn't put it down. Not for the faint of heart. But the HEA/HFN is worth the angst.
