This book was definitely better than Caraval in my opinion, however for the first 100 pages or so, i really couldn't focus on it. It wasn't really captivating at the start, it was boring mostly, but eventually it caught my attention. I actually loved Dante, but Jacks is really interesting also, I'm curious about the rest of the series now.
3.5 stars only because it took me FOREVERRRRRR to get through!!! I def enjoyed this plot more than Caraval but for whatever reason it was slower than MOLASSES
While TellaxDante will NEVER top JulianxScar, I wholeheartedly approve
And the backstories!
Este libro es una pasada, sinceramente creo q la mejor segunda parte de un libro que he leído en la vida, merece muchisisisisimo la pena. Hacerse un favor y leer caraval
I was told this one would be better than the first and I was so excited about that. Then I started reading it and let’s just say it was slightly better but still not my favourite read.
I couldn’t read anymore. It was not for me
Tella! All of her decisions made me so mad, first half of the book was almost identical to the 1st one which confused me
Now I dislike Tella more than I disliked Scarlett in the first one 😂
Things I didn't like about this book:
1) The book is basically like this: “Tella, don't do it! It's a bad idea!” And then Tella decides it's a good idea to go ahead and do it anyway. I swear these two sisters are horrible at decision making. Like I get creating a challenge for the main character, but does it always have to be a challenge that came about because the main character was stupid?
2) I didn't believe for a second that Tella was interested in Jacks, and not just because I had already read Once Upon a Broken Heart and had the next two books in the Caraval series spoiled for myself. Jacks was cold, insensitive and bordering on abusive at times. You expect me to believe a girl who's endured abuse from her father would see this man and go “... maybe I like him?” ??? To quote Raven; I could not believe it.
3) Again with the overly descriptive writing. Because I already knew where the plot was going thanks to two sentences in Once Upon a Broken Heart spoiling it for me I had no patience sitting through paragraphs, sometimes even half a page of descriptions of a room or a characters outfit. Please get to the point

i found a big portion of this book very boring but when it was good, it was good. the mystery was fun. dante was my favourite part of the whole thing. and tella became my favourite of the two sisters
When I found out that Tella was the main point-of-view character for Legendary, I was pleased as I disliked her sister Scarlett; I found her very naive and somewhat airheaded. I thought that reading from her younger sister's point-of-view, who had been clever and desperate enough to come up with the Caraval game's plot in the former book, would be a much more enjoyable experience.
However I was unfortunately wrong, as Tella proved to be an annoying, bossy, overly expectant main character, and sometimes just as airheaded as Scarlett. A very disappointing turn of events, however the plot and love interest(s) kept me hooked to the end.
NDJDJDKDKCKC I actually knew who Legend would be since first book but omggggdhdhd
3/5 ⭐
What happened here? That's my question for Stephanie Garber. What happened? The first book was so good and this one was just not. It lost all of it's magic for me. I hate Tella with every fiber of my being. I don't like the turn that the plot took in this book. I became darker and more about the “Fates.” It was so boring to me. The best part of this book was Dante.
3,5/5⭐️
Nu weten we eindelijk wie legende is. Dat was wel een beetje te verwachten op een bepaald punt, maar dat vond ik persoonlijk niet zo storend. Ik ben benieuwd wat deel 3 gaat brengen!
First of all, it took me longer to finish it for ... unknown reason but ..
OMG!! WTH was that?! ... i'm ... speechless, all i can say is, i loved it so much, 5 STARS.
and second of all: Dante ...
I freaking love that man.
I liked it but not as much as the first one, maybe it's because I read Once upon a broken heart before and I knew how/where some the characters would end up.
4.5 sooooo much better than Caraval, and I thought Caraval was AMAZING!!!
