It was a very interesting book, with well-rounded characters and an intricate plot. The atmosphere was spot on, I suggest reading this during the spooky season, just like I did.

Now, the next bit is why it's a 3 stars review and not higher. Part of it is probably on me: english is my second language. Normally, I don't have problem reading it, but I think this time, there was so much details and the story jumps a lot from character to character. I found myself going back to search for this or that character. I love the backstory that has been given to the major characters, but strangely enough, I've had trouble keeping with them.

Another part of it is also on me: the open and not exactly fairytale ending. Some of the baddies are still alive and we don't know really about the fate of Ben Lucas and the sisters. And even the Big Bad, I'm not sure if he simply took possession of Lang. But he was trying to take form so I don't know.

So, yeah, I've liked this novel for its characters, mystery, atmosphere and the very cool Archangel lore. Oh yeah, the legend surrounding this town and the true behind it is really something!

But the ending... nah, not for me. But if you're a fan of that, among what I've said, go for it! You'll love this horror story!
