The first 4 hours were a slog. The rest was delightful. I'm still not sure who the “good guys” are and that is awesome.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this, but it dragged a lot in the middle. I'm intrigued enough to continue the series.

Not my favorite book of the year. Very dark. Ridiculous romance and misunderstanding tropes. It does have interesting world building in and magic systems
