King of Flames

I ended up bingeing this series in one gulp– could not stop. It is dark in just the right way for me and did at times push my boundaries, but not too far. I will admit to liking 1-4 more than the last two, but I'm not unhappy with how things ended.
The romance is pretty dark, but Aon is the kind of villain you end up falling for and having no regrets. What I liked though was that Lydia is still pretty strong and has her own mind and opinions about things and doesn't let him steamroll her.
Again, the plot at the end went in unexpected ways, but I don't see how else the series could have gone. I really enjoyed this one!
