So I actually didn't DNF it and decided to finish it this morning.
You gotta hear me out on this one. I don't think this is a BAD book by any means. I'm just the tin man and can't stand when ‘normal' love happens. I'm not going to give a proper in depth review like I usually do because I just don't feel like I have the credentials.
I conquered my fear, a romance novel.
Things I will say - Maddy was my favourite character. Justin and Emma are both too equally perfect, and I think this is the ‘will they won't they' trope? (can you tell how much I read romance). It didn't feel like there was any jeopardy, which is my type of love - cough Magnolia Parks cough.
If you like romances, please don't be discouraged by this review and take it with a grain of salt.

everyone please pray for me - i'm tackling my biggest fear, a romance novel. i will do my very best to not DNF this.
This woman doesn't miss! This book is an exquisite blend of profound themes presented in a literary manner, intertwined seamlessly with heartwarming romance. Abby skillfully navigates deep emotional waters, offering authentic and poignant portrayals of mental health struggles that resonate deeply with readers. The crossover of characters from previous books adds an extra layer of delight, enhancing each story by interconnecting them (I now have more reasons to go reread them!). Abby's talent for crafting heart-wrenching romances shines brightly throughout every page. Without a doubt, this is my favorite romance series. Every single one has been a hit.
Another book added to my book collection. This book made me feel a lot of emotions at the same time. I'm gonna miss Jussin and Emma!
Abby Jimenez is such a unique author, I genuinely expected her romances to be too “sweet” for me but she knows how to keep the balance perfectly. The depth found in her characters, the setting that you wish you could exist in, drama galore, and plot that is crucial to propel the story. Abby perfectly captures plot and character development which we saw a lot of.
I picked up this book solely for the blurb, two people with a dating curse set out to break their curse with so much family drama it would make your head spin. Jason and Emma wholeheartedly are made for each other and I will die on this hill. Jason's lightheartedness and caring personality balances Emma's reluctancy to love while still giving her all for everyone.
I laughed, cried, and empathized with these characters like it was no one's business. The only only only I didn't love about this was the pacing towards the end, I felt the redemption arc was cut short and I wanted more conversation after the third act conflict.
