When Zayn, your smoking hot boss, tells you never to touch the cache of deluxe tattoo ink locked away in his office, you listen to him… until the day you run out of your own ink, your squirming client is on the verge of peeing his pants, and your boss is nowhere to be found. Desperate times call for desperate measures, right?
I fully expected Zayn to yell at me when he returned to the shop. What I didn't expect was the fresh cobra tattoo on my client’s butt magically springing to life. Or the interdimensional filing cabinet hiding in the back of Zayn's office. And, oh, did I mention that my gorgeous, magic-ink-hoarding boss is actually an incubus?
Now – through (mostly) no fault of my own – we have to venture into a strange and distant land where a never-ending list of lethal flora, fauna, and fae await us. When you add in my Jewish mother’s string of poorly-timed, hysterical phone calls, there is one thing I’m grateful for: there’s no cell service in the fae realm.

Fast moving, fun but a little unsatisfying (very much the first act of a longer story).

[PLOT, WRITING, WORLD-BUILDING & PACING]
- CAN I JUST SAY THAT I REALLY FUGGIN ENJOYED THIS BOOK
- its not often i can find a fantasy romance that isnt TOO plot heavy to the point the worldbuilding overtakes the romance so I REALLY LOVED THIS ONE. IT WAS SO FREAKING FUN TO READ AND IT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD BC IT WAS HILARIOUS
- the plot was so unique and fun i just had a fantastic time reading this overall
- sometimes the magic system that zayn explains gets confusing cos its too much at once and i had to reread it a few times to understand (maybe im just dumb but ya i couldnt follow sometimes) so minus points for that
- I WANTED MORE SMUT PLSDFJSNFGZJKWAGEG i ship them so hard
- will be reading the next book bc the romance and smut is wonderful

- talia was a WONDERFUL main character bc i absolutely loved her BUT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF how dumb she was in the other universe like bro if ur seggsea tattooist incubus boss zayn tells u to stay put then listen to him girlie like why u tryna get urself in trouble pls ;-;
- talia's mom was super annoying LMAO but i still liked her anyway in the end cos she was just doing mom things
- I LOOOOOOVE BISCUT THE TATTOO BIRD SO MUCH. he is the sweetest almond loving bird ever and i absolutely fell in love with his cheeky personality. he deserves all the almonds in the world ever to exist
