Sixty years later, it is still a blunt and effective book-denunciation, as bitter today as it was yesterday. Italy unfortunately has not changed, and the medical profession remains a closed caste, benefiting only the ‘barons'. The fleeing brains should stay outside our borders, for their own good. Our country does not know how to value young people, how to give them opportunities.
