Madre mía qué adictivo!
5 estrellas por lo adictivo que es, me ha dado lo que esperaba del libro, lo mucho que me he reído y lo spicy (esto no me lo esperaba
the start was jarring like we're thrown smack into it with her getting abducted and we learn she's been taken for what's basically sex trafficking and then we're shown someone getting raped. ok. not really glossed over but just weird were tone-wise considering the rest of the book feels fluffy :/
she gets captured in a trap by our alien MMC and wakes up to him eating her out and she's like ok he's fucking shit up purrrr! and let's him continue. idk this was a weird read. like it was kinda sweet and definitely insta-love but sorta with a reason? like it's insta-love on his end because he knows she's essentially his soulmate and so he's just so trusting of that fact and throws himself headfirst. she's a bit more reserved but can see that he hasn't done anything to hurt her and is protective so she's like why not!
overall i'd give this a 2.5/5, it's like not at all a serious read, was short, and was cute enough to keep me going. maybe even 3 stars?
LISTEN. This book successfully does exactly what it set out to do and I love it for that. A few repetition issues and some problematic descriptions that I could have done without but overall genuinely a fun experience. Will be picking up the next one!🤭
Fucking horrendous. Quite literally the worst book i've ever had to read, doesn't even deserve 1 star. It felt like it was never going to end. The entire story was so inconsistent, like when mc literally kills a guy then at the end of the book she goes the only thing i've ever hurt was a spider, like ????????? The writing is so impossibly lazy and rushed, ofc why learn a language when u can just have it downloaded into your brain like that makes any sense at all??
Who does the mc think she is, shes so fucking annoying with her self absorbed bitching, who gave her the audacity. She literally says that she's not an alien to the main guy, like no you're the one who came from space and landed on THEIR planet you're the alien.
Also, the smut in it was absolutely awful every single time they had sex it was the exact same as the last, so boring and repetative.
Speaking of being repetative the author needs a fucking thesaurus, so many words and phrases were said over and over again, you do not need to say the mc is weak, fragile and soft EVERY GODAMN PAGE.
Don't even get me started on how problematic this shit was, the blatant rape was insane, but because they were aliens its ok???
Rant over, tbf some parts did make me chuckle but thats probably down to the fact i was quite literally going insane trying to finish this. I want to know who actually enjoys this and would like to book them into therapy.
Was it worth the hype? Unsure.
Was it fun? Definitely.
Was it smutty? Not really. Based on what I heard from this book, it ended up being far more tame.
Quick, mindless, simple read if you're in a slump. Would recommend.
Good fun. The writing is basic but unobtrusive which is really all I ask for. World building was simple but more in-depth than I expected. Things progressed pretty fast. I thought that a lot of the outlandish decision making was explained well enough to make me accept why they were done. One of my biggest complaints SPOILERS is that she gets pregnant pretty dmn fast! And it's one of my biggest dislikes in books is the unexpected pregnancy trope. And I wasn't a big fan of the symbiont plotline. I felt is was a deus ex machina type of situation. A quick way to make the world as easy for the humans as possible. The language machine too was way too convenient that it just made it cringy. But overall it was fun.
So the booktok hype was real this time around.
REREAD 20/08-23:
Still as good as the first time around. Still lives up to the original hype. I now got the special edition in my collection, and I liked the extra novellas
to my family on here seeing this: we're not ever going to mention that i've read this book okay?
this had no right to be as funny as it was
I really liked the first half of this book. And then the surprise pregnancy trope reared it's head and I almost DNF'd. I don't know why I didn't expect it but it just ruined the mood for me.
how is georgie and vektal's relationship communication so superior when they don't even speak the same language for half the book???
3.5 stars. I will not be taking questions at this time. Damn you, booktok.

Worth?: Uhh yeah
For this type of book it was pretty well written. I have been seeing this on tiktok for days and finally broke down to read them. I wasn't expecting much from this book. The cover looked like one of those sleazy easy read Harlequin novels, but at last I was proven wrong. There is PLOT! I am not a big fan of just straight erotica. I like my books to have meat on its bones.
It was an easy read and had it down in a day!
Not sure what I just read. Definitely was interested based on all the hype it is getting online. It was entertaining and just smut all day long. I don't think I will read the next one since pregnancy plots just aren't for me.
I picked this up for one of my romanceopoly prompts and honestly I was really worried about reading this because it is completely out of my comfort zone. This is the first time I've read an alien romance and I have to say I really enjoyed it.
I don't really know what to say about this book. It was different and weird but I was immediately sucked in and invested in the romance. I loved how even though there was a language barrier at first they were still able to communicate. I thought it was cute and oh so hot and I will for sure be continuing on with this series hopefully very soon.
This was wild!
I found this book on the Bananas Romance Novels list on Goodreads and it did indeed push some boundaries! The hero looks a bit like a demon with his horns, tail, fangs and blue-gray skin. The heroine is abducted by little green men from her bedroom on Earth and steps up to be the leader of the other alien abducted women. So strange but I enjoyed it!
This was a good twist on the typical alien romance stories. The beginning lead me to believe it would be the stereotypical plot line, but then it took a turn for the better. Really enjoyed it although the end seemed kinda rushed.
Not really what I was thinking it would be, definitely much darker than anticipated.
Georgie is an interesting and strong character though and I liked reading about her. I this the romance was way, way too quick and awkward.
The world-building is fantastic and there are still mysteries floating around which making reading more of the series an enticing idea.
Will I read more? undecided.
