Another super short Masters and Mercenaries spinoff novella. This one worked A LOT better for me than RESCUEING SADIE did. This was a complete (albeit very rushed) story that worked well as a standalone. Obviously, you won't know who some of the secondary characters are if you haven't read the M&M series, but we are not dropped into an already ongoing story with this one, thankfully.

The writing was fantastic. The plot was quite decent considering the length of the book. I loved the little glimpse of Ian and the kids and Hutch. Both Talia and Chase were likable. The sex scenes were hot. There is a smidge of angst but no OW or OM drama, and it ended on a delightful one year in the future epilogue. Therefore yours truly is going to give this one two thumbs up.
