Here is Richard McGuire's unique graphic novel based on the legendary 1989 comic strip of the same name.
Richard McGuire's groundbreaking comic strip Here was published under Art Spiegelman's editorship at RAW in 1989.
Built in six pages of interlocking panels, dated by year, it collapsed time and space to tell the story of the corner of a room - and its inhabitants - between the years 500,957,406,073 BC and 2313 AD.
The strip remains one of the most influential and widely discussed contributions to the medium, and it has now been developed, expanded and reimagined by the artist into this full-length, full-colour graphic novel - a must for any fan of the genre.

Okay - one physical point of perspective but seem from many temporal points. So time-travel on a page and because it is a graphic novel you see them all at once. In weak hands this could just be a cute trick but Richard McGuire knows what he is about and knows you need a story. This is many stories, many lives, many moments and set in one place, a pivot if you will. Creative and engaging.
I, who am borderline illiterate when it comes to pictures, have nothing meaningful to say about this. It has all been said much better by other reviewers here. I am glad I followed up on reading it. It is a majestic concept and the art is generally very nice.
spoiler alert
At first I was a bit skeptical about this graphic novel, but I decided to give it a try after seeing it sit on my desk for so long. As I delved into the book, I realized there are no words! (or hardly any) That made it unique from other graphic novels I had read.
McGuire pictures the location of a home somewhere in the United States. Here he shows how people and history have changed through this perspective. He illustrates different pictures by their years.
It was interesting to see how different events could be related to each other, showing that people are really the same over time. Granted, some people are completely different, and with time and culture, they are very different. Yet, I see that humans aren't so different from each other. **Even in the time frame 2100-2200, McGuire plans a huge tsunami and some humans come back afterwards to investigate how lofe was before then. Our curiousity to learn has never stopped in McGuire's imagination.
