Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this book via R&R Book Tours in exchange for my honest review.

This is the second book in the Black Dawn series and we pick up right where Heir of Lies left off. We once again get multiple POVs. Some we got in book 1 but we do have a couple new POVs.

In the first book we got a small taste of the world. In this book we travel more of the worlds and are introduces to more creatures and people. I will say I would have liked for the magic to be elaborated on a little more. I'm still slightly confused as to what is being done in parts but it's not enough to make dislike the story.

I don't want to spoil anything but I mentioned in my review of the first book that something happened that I absolutely hate in books but I am happy to say that it was rectified in this book and I am really happy about that.

After the way this book ended I really want to read the next book because I want to know how things play out for these characters. I definitely recommend this series. I've seen people comparing it to the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. I can't comment on that though because I haven't read that series yet.
