I read the first book back in January and absolutely loved it. I was highly anticipating this book and luckily it didn't disappoint. If you've read the first book and/or the synopsis you know the premise of this book is Alex and gang are gearing up to go to hell to get Darlington out. We get to see them planning for this trip as well as dealing with other things that pop up.

Alex is a morally grey character. You either hate her or you love her and I actually love her and I'm always cheering for her. I want her to be happy. In this book we get to see a bit more of her being vulnerable and emotional and letting people in which she doesn't usually do. I loved getting to see a glimpse of that side of her.

The pacing was a bit all over the place with this one but that was the case with the first book as well. It was also a bit on the slow side for me too but despite that I was still fully hooked. There were twists I didn't see coming but there were other things that I did see coming. Of course this one ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so I am itching for the next book. Lets hope we don't have to wait to long for it.
