The authors publishing assistant reached out to me on Goodreads last year asking me if I would be interested in reading and reviewing this book and after reading the synopsis of it I said yes. I had every intention of reading it within a month or two but I managed to let it get lost in the sea of books I wanted/needed to read so here we are a year later finally reviewing it. I just want to say thank you to the authors assistant as well as the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I picked up this book thinking it would be a quick read and while it is somewhat quick it is very slow going to begin with. It didn't really start to pick up for me until about 70% into it when some things started happening. The last 30% is action packed umm well maybe not packed but there was definitely a lot more going on in the last 30% then there was in the rest of the book.

This book switches between two points of view. The first one being Livvy's POV which was my favorite chapters to read and easiest to follow along with and the second was what was happening at House Windhook where Keiron's family is. I struggled to get into the chapters about House Windhook.

I'm struggling with this review because honestly after finishing it I am still not really sure of everything I read. There was a lot of things that went completely over my head and left me confused. The twist at the end that I definitely should have seen coming based off of what I knew kind of shocked me a little bit but overall I am just really underwhelmed by this. Even the romance was a let down and y'all know I pretty much love all romance but it just wasn't believable and it fell short for me.
