Hannibal

This was my third re-read of Hannibal, and I remember loving this book. This time around I read the entire series (except for Hannibal Rising) and I couldn't stand his writing...
The plot remained well written, but the elaborate scenery building and the “cinematic” writing really put me off and distanced me from the story and the characters.
Hannibal remains my favourite villain, but I have lost my faith in Starling... I don't know how I missed or justified her 180 in personality the previous read-throughs, but I couldn't stomach it this time around.
