Es el mas random de todos, pero me gusto jsjsjsaja estuvo entretenido, hubo momentos que quede como “que está pasando”. No se puede negar el ingenio de este autor.
Volume 1 was fine but Volume 2 was so good. So creative and creepy in a way that only junji ito can be. Fish on arachnoid legs, who would've thought?
Also loved the bonus stories too
It felt it got too repeative kinda. The wibe was just the same aftwe half the book

When I tell you I inhaled this book, I mean, literally INHALED.
Now I understand what the Junji Ito hype is all about because wow. the illustrations and the story just made me feel some type of way. It wasn't even terrifying, but definitely disturbing and it really creeps under your skin.
Absolutely hog wild. Some of the most absurd images I've seen in the medium.

Just utterly disgusting. I only knew the “scary fish” pitch, but the imagery of bloated corpses with pipes up their asses scooting around on artificial legs was just... what the hell, Junji Ito.
Not to mention the circus. Oh glob, the circus.
The “whatthefuckness” alone is worth the read, but I wouldn't recommend reading it before a meal.
I've read Uzumaki by Junji Ito two years ago and it easily became one of my favorites. Unfortunately, Gyo didn't do much for me. I was not invested in the story and I felt nothing, thinking that this will be spooky or gut wrenching. Its not. The explanation about the germ and stuff were not fleshed out well and that made me ask more questions and were answered with little information and unconvincing ones. Its weird but not the type of weird that's mindblowing. The only thing that I liked from this is the art style because DUH its Junji Ito. Overall, I still enjoyed it but not enough to be worth more than 3 stars.
