Slow moving, character driven story about two people in AWESOME settings who are dealing with my two favorite things in fiction: isolation and survival. There is not a ton of plot here, which is fine. The characters of Auggie and Sully are extremely layered. I really cared about what happened to both of them. It's more a study of how these characters handle the situations they are in now and the back stories of how they got where they are now. I got tired of Auggie's flashbacks and was WAY more interested in his doings of the actual day. What a great locale to set a book! Anyhoo, this would be an amazing movie.

It loses a star for the coincidence I can't forgive. Sorry. It's still a really good read.
