I started this series last month because the ladies from Under The Covers Book Blog and PNR Book Lovers Review announced that they were going to be hosting a readalong for this series this year called the #indeathreadalong. I decided to give it a shot because I wanted to try something I wouldn't normally pick up on my own and I am so glad I did.

I read and reviewed Naked in Death last month which is the first book in this very long series and I was immediately sucked in. I couldn't wait to start book 2 and I have to say it didn't disappoint.
Now that I know this series is set in the future I wasn't thrown off by any of it and I was actually impressed with some of the things that were possible.

I'm still loving the characters just as much and their romance. I do have to say that I feel like things have moved extremely fast. I mean we're in book 2 and there's already talk of marriage. Considering this series is 50 books long at the moment I figured this would be a slow build up with the romance. At least more than 2 books worth. I'm not saying I hate it because I am definitely loving the romance I just kind wish it would slow down some.

I am still annoyed that Eve is referred to as sir. I know it's such a small thing but it drives me crazy every time someone says yes sir. I wish I knew why this is a thing? Maybe if there was an explanation it wouldn't bother me so much. Although I'm sure it would still bother me. She is only referred to as sir from people she out ranks I think. Can someone tell me why?

I also knew who the killer was pretty early on. I wavered back and forth at points thinking maybe I had it wrong but I always came back to this person and I was right. I'm torn between being happy that I for once knew who the killer was and wishing that I wouldn't have been able to figure it out. Even though I was able to guess the killer that by no means took away my enjoyment of this book.

Overall I am still fully hooked and can't wait to pick up the third book in this series to see what is next for Eve and Roarke.
