3.5 stars, so rounding up. The story is told between alternating chapters of the present and the past, something I didn't love, but the overall story was good. The angst factor was a solid 5 stars though–my stomach is still a bit knotted. There were some details I would've also like fleshed out–the epilogue wasn't nearly satisfying enough–but the blanks are easy to fill in. Not sure I'd re-read this, but I'll definitely look at Kells's catalog.
