Girl, Serpent, Thorn

Soraya is cursed. She can't touch living things except for her flowers, because she is poisonous. One-touch of her green-veined and you would die. She is so afraid of her poison will make her a monster. So she hides in her room and her garden. Trying hard to hide from any bad feelings. She finds a way to get rid of her poison but there are consequences. She is tricked into this by a div, A div is a evil or demon type of character. He appears human until she has gotten rid of the curse. This leads to many consequences as this div wants to take over her country. With her knowledge he tricks her. The rest of the book is about her trying to fix her mistakes.
This is an interesting Persian inspired retelling of a few fairytales. I recommend it if you like retellings.
