My girl Anna was given a raw deal here. She was seriously my favorite part of book 1 and yet, she is rarely ever given page time here. Which I mean... this does make sense considering the end of book 1, but I hoped we'd see more of her besides her being tortured. I swear, the girl was abused in life and then is forced to kill as a ghost, then ends up tortured MORE after trying to be a good being. Then the ending?! I mean, I'm happy for her, but I just wanted her to have all her hopes and dreams. I can only hope she's happy.
I am glad this book goes over the knife more and Cas' ancestry, but this book was a bit slow-paced for me and just felt like it was dragging. The second half is better than the first, but calling this a horror is a stretch.
