Quick read, I really wished this volume was longer and added a tad more depth to the characters and the story itself. I do really, really like the characters with all their crazy and adorable little quirks! I am definitely going to read the next volume since I'm curious to see what these characters get into.
I don't normally read graphic novels but I decided to give this one a try. I loved it! It was so much fun to read. It follows three girls at their university. They are great! I think I will start reading more graphic novels. Feel free to give me some recommendations.
Ah, the old “I haven't read in several days and am worried I forgot how so I need to read a (probably queer) graphic novel all in one go” maneuver. It never fails, folks.
Giant Days is about three women who are roommates despite many differences in personality. They're at college and are constantly swept up in dramatic antics. In one chapter, they all catch a campus bug and spiral off in different directions. It's hilarious and will resonate with anyone who's had the misfortune of being miserably ill in a dorm room.
I like that the characters are flawed and even abrasive. Everyone is figuring themselves out, and rarely is that graceful. The characters are distinct yet relatable, and it never gets too heavy. I'm excited to read ALL OF THESE.
This is a fun and quirky graphic novel. The tone of this graphic novel is witty and fun, even when the content got a little heavy, the tone did not reflect it, instead kept things light, so the the story did not become preachy.
The illustrations reflect the fun nature of the graphic novel. There are exaggerated facial expressions, possibly unrealistic actions (but funny), and bright colors. The coloring was very well done: crisp, clean, and bright, to showcase this entertaining novel.
The characters were definitely distinct, including the side characters because of there different personalities, looks, and hobbies. The three main characters also have an amazing friendship that does not revolve around men or romance, which is great! These healthy female friendships are ones young readers need to read more about. Also, the issues the characters face such as a cold, sleazy guys, and drinking legally are ones most college students will encounter, so the realistic way the events and characters are written is fantastic. Even the side guy characters are written well as normal regular guys.
I absolutely LOVED this GN. As soon as I finished reading it, I went and requested the next ones from the library.
I laughed, omg I laughed so hard my roommate started making fun of me. This is brilliant.

Bit slow at the beginning, but then got really fun (and funny). Looking forward to more! :)
