I buddy read this book with Destiny from Howling Libraries. If for some reason you aren't already following Destiny you definitely should. Thanks for buddy reading with me Destiny. Glad this one worked out better than our last buddy read did.

This is my first Emma Scott book and it probably won't be my last.

The first half of this book was slow for me and I honestly found it to be kind of boring but I also wanted to continue on to see how things played out. It was also predictable. I could see very early on what was going to happen in this book and what the second book was going to be about.

Once I got to the halfway point I was really drawn in. There were moments where I got teary eyed and then all of a sudden I couldn't stop crying. I cried non stop for last 20% or so which made reading it even harder. This is a book that will definitely pull on your heartstrings so have some tissues ready.

This part is spoilery so skip this is you haven't read it yet. So yeah I mentioned how I could see where this was going early on which isn't a bad thing except for the fact that I am pretty sure the second book is going to be about Kacey and Theo (who is Jonah's brother). I'm not sure how I feel about her switching from one brother to another but I'm hoping the author does it in a way that doesn't seem weird. I will be reading the second book hopefully sooner rather than later.
