Collection of letters, writings, interviews and literary texts.

A compendium of Elena Ferrante's letters and interviews, “Frantugmalia” is probably for super fans only, and I think it would work better as a companion read to her novels than a standalone volume, consumed in one go as I did. Nonetheless, it is as open a window as one will find into Ferrante's negotiations with her identity as a writer, a woman, a Neapolitan, and how those influence her fiction.
