Frankie and Bug

This is another book I buddy read with Erin when we were needing a break from Cassandra Clares books and I'm so glad we decided on this book because it was such a great story. This is a middle grade book that covers a lot of important topics most of which I wasn't expecting but it did it in a very simple and subtle way that younger people can understand. This is mostly about how Frankie and Bug become friends over the course of one summer and all of the things they get up to. bug learns some hard lessons throughout this book and her responses to things while a bit naive were so heartwarming and heartbreaking because you're just thinking why everyone can't have this way of thinking. Overall, a very enjoyable story that touches on some hard topics.
