Fourth Wing

Oh. My. God. This book truly is addicting. The sole fact that it's a 500+ page book and I read it within three days proves just that. With any other book it would've taken me probably a week or longer!

This book includes so many awesome elements: romance with enemies to lovers, bad-ass characters, brutality / kinda military school setting, competition. The book is both action-packed and also takes you on an emotional roller coaster - my eyes felt as if they were glued to the pages the whole time!

The main character, Violet Sorrengail, is super intelligent, selfless, adaptable and witty which makes up for her lack of body strength. And her development throughout the book is astonishing. Violet as well as all the other characters in this book have such a depth to them and are well-developed that they feel very real. For every character in this book I either love and admire them with my whole heart or hate them with a passion.

Moving on to the world-building: it is interesting, well crafted and unique. I found the history of the realm and especially the dragons super intriguing!

Finally, this book has easily become my favorite read of the year and I'm immediately going to jump into its sequel „Iron Flame“, eagerly looking forward towards the new adventures it'll hold!
