Where do I start with this one? It took me some time to get into Fourth Wing. I was even a bit sceptical of the idea of this school for dragon riders or rather of the idea of this being a really vicious place kinda like a Hunger Games. At least there weren't any requirements on how many people will pass their different trials.

But the more I read, the more it grew on me. Especially when we met the dragons. My Eragon and Saphira nostalgia was in full swing by that point. And Fourth Wing did deliver more than that. I really loved the romance in this book. I appreciated so much that the author, having a possibility to create a love triangle or any other relationship figure, never went there. Violet had enough difficulties as it is. And I knew that romance was good when I started to anticipate each encounter between our heroes.

However, one event that made me realise I was in love with this book is the Threshing. Oh my god, that was the best plot twist in the book about dragons ever. After that the book just flied by me. It was crazy. I barely found the calm moments in this book to pause reading. There was just one thing after the other. The ending was also appropriate one, after which I just need to pick up the second book when it hopefully releases in November. By the way, my inkling that that one character turns out to be alive and a rebel was completely right.
