Four Psychos

This is definitely not what I expected. If you are expecting sexy times–there won't be any. I was ok with that because there is a plot and I was interested enough in it to continue. There are hints of heat. I'm saying this only because it was marketed as a poly paranormal erotica in some parts and it's not that. On to the next one.

i always find the first book of any series a bit slow– they usually are. it takes a bit to build up the new world you're heading into, but this one was a bit on the faster side. it opens with a bang (teehee) from the moment you begin reading. i genuinely found myself coming back as often as i could to keep reading cause i needed to have more. right away, i found myself rooting for keyla because she was funny and relatable. no, i'm not a ghost who can't be seen, but unlike other protagonists (who i still adore), she was kinda quirky and awkward and that resonated. but, she's also very forward and honest– she knows what she wants. and i'm just as intrigued about the boys. and of course, i need them to hurry up and get their heads out of their asses and realize how much they need and want keyla. i'm definitely invested in everything.

What I liked/loved:
1. “Kayla” is a pretty logical and badass FMC
2. Calls the MMCs out on their shit
3. I'm liking the slow burn on the romance
4. I like that there are 3 more books/parts to read

What I didn't like/hated:
1. The FMC having to watch the MMCs sleep with others (just mentioned and is off page)
2. The MMCs are such assholes! There better be some good grovel coming.

Thoughts: I'm finding that I really like this author, and it's sad that she's passed away. This was a fun read.
