Holy cow I loved this book.
Elizabeth is taking her dog for a walk and she stumbles upon Clare. Clare is dying on the road, and her last words are whispered to Elizabeth, “Warn them.”
I was hooked from the prologue. As I was reading, I kept thinking back to what was said before the story even started and I tried to line everything up. I couldn't make sense of ANYTHING that was happening until the very end. I kept changing my mind about who the killer was. I didn't think it was the same person for more than 5 pages. This book kept me on my toes and I couldn't put it down.
I am a huge fan of psychological thrillers. This one was a well-deserved 5 stars. I enjoyed the characters and I thought it was a good plot. I tend to fall in love with every single story I read, but this was different. I felt connected to this story and it made complete sense to me. I recommend this to anyone and everyone who is looking for their next favorite book.
