Forest of a Thousand Lanterns

I really tried with this one, but I've just completely lost interest. I don't find the MC to be a complex character. It's true that she's not outright evil from the start, but she does have a very singular focus and not much of a personality besides her obsession with her destiny and her beauty. I did enjoy it at the start, but the story is starting to drag for me and I'd rather focus on other books instead.
