Fondant Fumble

I think it annoyed me too much that Mel thought she was so important to everyone that she put off talking to Joe throughout the entire book. I think it was supposed to be funny that everyone else figured her out before she did or even Joe, but I just found it unbelievable and it took away from the mystery.
