This book follows the story of a young woman named Anastasia Steele who falls in love with the mysterious Christian Gray.
I've been reading what I'm assuming to be an abridged version of this book. Let me start by saying that I had very low expectations for this book. Honestly I feel pretty neutral about it. I don't hate it and I don't love it. I think it has pretty average writing and a pretty generic plot. The characters aren't memorable, neither is the story. It's an average book in my opinion.
There were many parts that bother me.
First being the words Anastasia uses to describe her body parts. Like honestly you're having kinky sex yet you can't say the word ass. I also didn't like how sometimes she sounds like a child, I know the aim is to make her innocent but she sounds straight up naive.
I don't understand why people don't like how she goes along with everything, because in reality people go along with things they are not sure about because of curiosity or attraction. So in that aspect I found it kind of realistic.
In general I wouldn't buy this book but it was an okay read.
