After 30%, it's one of the rare cases where I openly admit to close it for ever. Maybe it's because of the different times, i see its first edition was written long time ago. But this simplistic, hyper-optimistic view does not get to me. I might be a ‘negative nancy' or whatever box she'd prefer to put me in, but a lot of the content was nothing new or innovative. It's solutions are uni-dimensional, clear cut and algorithmic, as if we're all some machines that function the same. Often times I forget the subject at hand, since she goes on many tangents. Many of the anecdotes do not feel useful. The tone seems quite patronizing, as if the author speaks to a misbehaved child, or to someone stupid. This book tries too hard to be a friend. A professional would have been better.
