Evil and the Mask

This book had so much potential, but in the end just kind of fell flat. I mean, there's not much more to say about it! The lengths Fumihiro went to so he could have some contact with Kaori seemed to make sense to me, but I don't know. Maybe I didn't read enough into the story to grasp the full good vs. evil stuff. There were times when I felt like I needed more detail and others when I found myself wanting to pass over parts. I think I have been spoiled by other Japanese authors I've read, but this wasn't bad.
