Educated: A Memoir

So much of this just breaks my heart, the lack of care Westover's parents were able to provide, the violence and abuse — both in the name of religion and in mental illness — throughout her childhood and any time she made her way home during her university years; how hard it is to break free of something that you recognize isn't good for you, but is all you know.
