While I really liked this book it wasn't about what I thought it would be. Most of the book revolves around boy problems and not so much the pageant. I think I was under the impression that is would be deeper, but mostly the book felt very “surface area”, if that makes any sense.

I had a difficult time liking the characters, but I could understand where they were coming from. Will is very take charge though and I like that she is confident enough to do what she wants. She is angsty, but still moves her life forward. Bo, I felt could have used more development or page-time to become a character.

I loved the pageant scenes or them getting ready for the pageant, those moments really made the book worth it to me.
This book is really easy to read though and I flew through it, so even though I seem to have some problems with it, it didn't affect my reading much.

100% would recommend and I will read the next book which is about characters who I think will have more personality.
