I absolutely hated the characters! Listening to this made me super anxious and angry. It's written well but it's not what I wanted to be listening to.
Good
It was a good book! I didn't like how stupid Joanne could be, but it made sense in the end.. kind of.
Wow, this read like a Freida McFadden book, and by that I mean I hated it, lol. But really, it was quite a lot like McFadden's The Inmate in terms of manipulation, incredibly gullible characters, and predictability. I've gotta find some better suspense/thriller books because I keep striking out.
fun little thriller, perfect for work commuting. predictable and nothing I haven't read before but enjoyed
Am still processing... not sure of my star rating- I was frustrated the entire time reading, the gaslighting was annoying but I couldn't stop listening, I finished in one day. The twist wasn't insane and it wasn't the greatest storyline but I still ate it up
Idk why this was hyped up as a book with a massive plot twist when it was so predictable/didn't have a crazy twist tbh. The main character was so annoying
I suppose if you've never read a psychological thriller you would like this story. It is fast paced, lots of twists-lack of honesty and miscommunication, along with stupid stupid people, causes lots of problems. The ending was unexpected, but to believe this character could get away with all that she did is pretty far-fetched.
This book felt reminiscent of other books I've read, including gaslighting from a female MC as well as a crazy twist involving an even crazier husband. It didn't feel as original or as surprising of a twist as I was hoping for.
very mediocre..
i think it's going to be very predictable to people who've read at least a few thrillers. usually i don't anticipate twists but here i could tell exactly what would happen and it did. the main character felt way too exaggerated and silly as well.
This book has been on my TBR for the longest time and I am so happy that I finally picked it up.
Dont Let Her Stay is such a fantastic, thrilling and mind-boggling read. When I say I felt like I was being gaslit throughout the entire book, I mean it. I had no idea who to trust or to believe and that's what makes a great Thriller.
I loved that this kept me guessing and had me invested from the very last page. I didn't want to put this book down. This is such a great read if you're wanting to get into the genre or if you're in a reading slump.
The amount of times I wanted to reach into the book and shake these characters... No words.
I can't wait to check out what else this author writes!
This book has got a personality like Chloe with all its ups and downs. Mostly downs. It picked up only after 70% in. And the writing feels a little... off. All the characters are annoying af, though. Especially the main character, Joanne. Joanne is a little too stupid, a little too self absorbed and a whole lot annoying.
The gaslighting in this book is soooooooo annoying. Took me 4 days to complete this book bc I kept on putting it down
Ups and downs: for most of it I thought it was underestimating people's intelligence and over explaining. Then there were goid plot twists. Then I thought they were slightly ruined. And then I enjoyed the ending.
To sum up, read at your own peril.
