Desert Bound

Just as good as the first one, though the risks felt higher in this one. The overarching plot was easy enough to guess, but it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of the book. No one's reading these for the plot – it's all about the relationships.

Desert Bound's love interests are the town doctor, Ted, and the wolf alpha, Alex. They butt heads constantly, and seem to take fighting as some sort of flirtation. It's a volatile relationship, but somehow Elizabeth Hunter makes you believe in them. I loved Ted's stubbornness, and Alex's never ending quest to get her to bend to his will. They fit together wonderfully.

Totally worth the read, can't wait to dive into the next book. Especially because the next one seems to be about Ollie the bear shifter and Allie! Ollie has been a background favorite for me. Here's hoping his book lives up to my mental hype.
